Frequently Asked Questions

  • IN TODAYS ONLINE WORLD, BRANDING IS ESSENTIAL TO STAND OUT AMONG THE CROWD.

BRANDING ENSURES YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE COMMUNICATING, CONSIDERING WHO IT IS YOU WANT TO LISTEN, AND HOW YOU WANT TO BE RECEIVED. MOST IMPORTANTLY, BRANDING CLARIFIES YOUR “WHY” - BOTH TO YOU AND YOUR AUDIENCE, FOR A BRAND LED CONFIDENTLY AND GROUNDED IN AUTHENTICITY.

I ENCOURAGE MY CLIENTS TO CONTINUOUSLY UTILISE THEIR MOOD BOARD FOR MAKING ANY VISUAL BASED DECISIONS IN THEIR BUSINESS… THIS CAN INCLUDE INTERIOR DESIGN, SOCIAL MEDIA, PHOTO SHOOTS, WEBSITES, UNIFORMS, VIDEO AND MORE!

  • PRIMARY LOGO:

    - YOUR ‘MOST OFFICAL’ LOGO THAT HAS THE MOST DETAIL AND ELEMENTS TO IT. IT’S THE PRIMARY IDENTITY TO YOUR BUSINESS.

    SECONDARY LOGO:

- A SIMPLIFIED VERSION OF YOUR PRIMARY LOGO OR A VARIATION OF YOUR PRIMARY LOGO. THIS LOGO IS CREATED AS A SECOND OPTION FOR WHEN YOUR PRIMARY LOGO MIGHT BE TOO DETAILED OR AN ORIENTATION NOT FIT FOR A PARTICULAR CIRCUMSTANCE.

    SUB MARKS:

    - THESE ARE A HAND FULL OF GRAPHIC ELEMENTS THAT COMPLIMENT YOUR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY LOGO FOR TIMES WHEN YOU WANT TO USE SOMETHING ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR BRAND BUT DON’T WANT TO USE YOU LOGO. THESE ELEMENTS INCLUDE: BRAND MARKS (ILLUSTRATIONS), WORD MARKS (THINK THE INITIALS OF YOUR BUSINESS AS A GRAPHIC, STAMPS (FOR STICKERS OR ROUND AREAS SUCH AS PROFILE PICS), TAG LINES (YOUR TAGLINE OR ON BRAND SAYING AS A GRAPHIC) + MORE!

ALL UP, WE CALL THIS WHOLE COLLECTION OF GRAPHICS OUR ‘BRAND SUITE’… TO BE USED FOR MANY SITUATIONS TO CREATE A RECOGNISABLE AND PROFESSIONAL BRAND.

  • A successful brand has many elements to it to bring it together and create a cohesive and recognisable identity. For this reason, I always couple my logo services with a full brand identity and mood board. If you are not ready for a website yet - that is fine! check out my brand identification package on my services page.

  • Branding projects can usually take 3-6 weeks. It’s important to understand that the longer you take to provide feedback or additional info, the longer the project will take.

Website design and other product designs vary on the size of the project - e.g. number of site pages or items to be listed in shop.

  • The prices of printing are not included in my service price. This is because printing prices vary depending on quantity, sizing, finish and timelines. If you would like to be doing the printer co-ordination and communication rather than myself please let me know. I am happy to help you during the printing process but this is a separate cost. The cost of your website hosting, domain name and CMS plans are also separate from my service pricing, as these vary in cost depending on client’s needs and preferences.

  • Yes! You can contact me to discuss payment plan options for your project.

  • Other costs associated with your website will be:

    - Your SquareSpace or Wordpress plan. This is what makes your website live and specifies your limitations within the platform (average cost is around $40 per month)

    - Your domain. This is name of your site. I recommend purchasing your domain with Only Domains as they have branches in NZ for fast and local service.

  • I build all of my website on Wordpress or Squarespace 7.1 depending on the clients needs.

    - I encourage my clients to invest in Wordpress as it is the most customisable platforms available. Opportunities for custom CSS are huge! Custom CSS is basically adding snippets of code to the website which give us stylish sections that are beyond the bounds of standard templates. It’s the opportunity to create more interactive sections and unique designs to create a more informal and on brand experience.
Wordpress also offers a range of plug ins that work to keep your site secure and support SEO (getting your site more views/traffic)

    - Squarespace is very ‘client friendly’ a.k.a it’s very easy for a client to be able to jump on and make any edits to text, photos, products and blogs. It’s one of the best for design freedom. Compared to platforms such as Shopify, we have a lot more freedom in designing the pages how we’d like it. I also choose Squarespace as I see the platform itself as a progressive and optimistic company that are continuously improving and growing - therefore carrying your website with opportunities of growth and expansion.
